Sun Truss (2004) Ltd. is a member of the Western Wood Truss Association of British Columbia. The WWTABC monitors quality in member companies and acts on behalf of the member companies in matters relating to building code changes.

Our plant is #195 and we proudly display the WWTABC logo and stamp on our products.

Sun Truss (2004) Ltd. is also a member of Canadian Mill Services Association which is a lumber grading and quality control organization used by the forest industry throughout much of BC. We are certified to grade lumber and ours is plant #151. Any material that has been graded at our plant will be stamped with the CMSA stamp and our plant number.

Sun Truss (2004) Ltd. is a member of the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce.

Sun Truss (2004) Ltd. uses Mitek software and truss connector plates supplied by Mitek Canada.

Materials:

All lumber used by Sun Truss (2004) Ltd. is purchased from companies that practice Sustainable Forest Management. We believe that sound forest stewardship ensures that resources are used in a sustainable manner thus ensuring the forests will be available for future generations of British Columbians.

We use the following types of lumber:

• SPF 2&Btr Kiln Dried
• SPF MSR 2100 Kiln Dried
• SPF Select Structural Kiln Dried
• Fir 2&Btr Kiln Dried
• Fir MSR Kiln Dried
• Fir Select Structural Kiln Dried

All of the lumber used in our products is Kiln Dried because we believe it makes a more dimensionally stable truss.

In addition, we are able to source other specialty materials as required for specific projects such as pressure treated or heat treated lumber.
